I´m Toti Cuesta, Whatercolor artist
Where my art comes from
Since I was little, I have lived with two very different realities: an external one, full of rules, structures, and expectations, and a silent, intuitive, and deeply sensitive inner space.
My art is born from the dialogue between the environment in which I grew up and what was already vibrating inside me. From this fusion emerges the way I see, perceive, and translate the subtle through form and color.
I lived a life that was not my own
For years, I followed the path marked out for what was expected of me. I studied law and languages; I did what was planned; I fit in where I could, but inside me, there was a constant feeling of inhabiting a place that did not belong to me.
As I moved along that external path, my inner world remained silent, like a space I did not yet know how to access. That mismatch became a deep search for my truth.
Art found me
Art came as a calling, a force that recognized me even before I could recognize myself.
Painting became a way of breathing, existing, and understanding: art reminded me who I was.
It wasn’t a change, but a natural return to what was always within me.
I recognized my creative identity
Over time, I understood that there were not two separate worlds, but a profound unity that had been waiting for years to express itself.
My sensitivity, my way of perceiving the subtle, my intuition, my connection with beauty and feminine energy… all of this was part of a creative identity that I finally recognized without fear.
That recognition was not an external discovery, but an internal act of truth.
The origin of my art
My creative process is born from listening to my inner voice. I work with feminine energy, the power of the Earth, and vibrations that become images.
Each work is my way of showing what the mind cannot yet express.
A space where the subtle becomes visible, and consciousness materializes through color, composition, and image.
My art is born from a space where the visible and the invisible meet, where form and vibration coexist.
Today, I fully occupy my place from a space of presence and authenticity.
